We ship to mainland United Kingdom addresses entered at checkout. Highlands, islands and other remote postcodes are accepted when the carrier can reach them; the cart shows the freight line for that postcode before you pay. If you need delivery outside the UK, email [email protected] first with the product link and the full address so we can say whether a carrier will take it and what it would cost. We do not quietly add international legs at checkout.

Two freight scales apply on UK orders. Stoves, inserts and accessories: £35.99 incl. VAT, or free once the cart holds £350 of appliances (firewood and pellets never count toward that threshold). Firewood, pellets and compressed logs: never free delivery; £19.99 for one pallet, £32.99 for two, £44.99 for three, then £10.99 per extra pallet. The cart total is the amount charged. Full notes: Delivery page.

After payment we prepare the order within 24 to 48 working hours, not counting weekends and bank holidays. Orders paid after midday on Friday, and anything paid over the weekend, are usually picked on the next working Monday.

Once the carrier has the goods, allow about 7 to 9 working days on a standard run. Stoves, inserts and fuel pallets use heavier logistics: stock and weight matter, and so does whether a lorry can reach your gate. We email the tracking number when the carrier scans the parcel or pallet.

No cash on the kerb: you pay by card on the site, and we ship once payment clears.

Many people are used to a local firewood merchant unloading and taking cash on the spot. That is a different trade. Here a carrier brings a pallet or parcel after you have already paid by card. The driver cannot take cash, cheques or a card machine.

Checkout takes Visa or Mastercard only. You pay the full VAT-inclusive total on the site before we pick the order; that figure is fixed on the confirmation screen.

We do not take cheques, cash on delivery or bank transfers for consumer orders. We do not reserve stock against a promised transfer. If something needs a separate charge after you have paid (a carrier re-delivery fee is a common example), we ask you in writing first; we do not silently debit your card.

Not always the same country. When the supplier tells us origin, species, moisture and labels (ENplus A1, DINplus, PEFC and the like), we print them on the product page.

Some log and pellet lots are French or Belgian; others are packed elsewhere in Europe. We do not put “100% France” on the whole catalogue. If origin or grade is a deal-breaker for your stove or boiler, read the page or send the product link to contact@thestovecentre.com before you order.

Our firewood and fuel lots are sold as Ready to Burn for UK domestic heating: dry enough to light cleanly and heat well when stored under cover. Moisture figures on the product page are the reference for that lot. Wet wood heats poorly and dirties the flue.

After delivery, keep the logs raised and dry. If the lot you receive looks clearly off versus the page, email us within 48 hours with photos and your order number so we can check it.

The product page always states the packing unit: pallet, net weight, bag count, m³ or stere (stacked cubic volume used on some European lots). Log length changes how much space that unit takes: 50 cm logs stack differently from 33 cm, so check length against your stove door before you buy.

Check kg and carton or bag count before you add to cart; that is what lands on the truck. If the equivalence is unclear, send the reference to contact@thestovecentre.com and we confirm what will arrive.

When a grade exists for that reference, it is on the product page. Most buyers look for ENplus A1 for domestic stoves and boilers; DINplus or other labels appear when the supplier provides them. Not every line carries the same mark, so match the page to your appliance manual.

Keep pellets dry after delivery. Damp storage ruins the fuel and can cause poor burns; that is not covered as a product defect.

After payment the order goes to a carrier. On pallets (firewood, pellets) and large appliances the driver usually phones to book a weekday slot so someone can receive the load.

Drop-off is as close as the vehicle can get: property boundary, entrance, firm driveway. We do not haul appliances upstairs or stack firewood in your woodshed for you. You need hard ground for a tail-lift or pallet truck. Tell us about a narrow gate, intercom-only access or a muddy track before you confirm. If access looks wrong after booking, email contact@thestovecentre.com with the tracking number and we help rebook where the carrier allows it.

Someone must be able to take and check the parcel or pallet. On heavy shipments the carrier often phones to fix a window.

If nobody is there, a card or notice normally explains how to rebook or collect. A second attempt can cost extra depending on the carrier. Keep the notice and the tracking number. If nothing shows within 24 hours, write to contact@thestovecentre.com with your order number.

Stay with the driver while you look. Write clear, dated reserves on the delivery note: impact, open wrap, crushed carton, missing bags. “Subject to unpacking” on its own is almost useless later.

Photograph the outside and the product, keep the packaging, then email contact@thestovecentre.com within 48 hours with the order number and those photos. We open the file with the carrier or the maker depending on what broke. Do not throw the pallet wrap away until we say so.

No. We sell new equipment; we do not fit appliances and we do not bundle an installer into the checkout.

Email us the product link if you need kW output, door size or weight from the datasheet; we read the same PDF you see on the page. Flue work, Part J compliance, HETAS paperwork and sweeping are for an installer near you. Grants that need a combined labour-and-goods invoice are not what this shop sells.

If the goods are faulty or not as described, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you repair, replacement or refund within a reasonable time. Keep the invoice.

A maker warranty (parts, variable length) may sit on top when the product page says so. For after-sales, email contact@thestovecentre.com with the order number, reference and a short description of the fault, ideally with photos.

You may cancel within 14 calendar days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (email us before the deadline; fuels and bespoke lines are often excluded).

We may also accept an optional commercial return up to 45 days from delivery if the goods are unused, complete and resaleable, with invoice. Email contact@thestovecentre.com first and wait for written agreement before shipping. Return postage usually stays with you on a change-of-mind return.

Yes, as long as we have not handed the shipment to the carrier. Email contact@thestovecentre.com as soon as you can with the order number.

If the parcel is already on the road, you can still cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations after receipt (14 days) or ask about a commercial return (see Returns and refunds). Do not refuse a parcel without telling us unless the carrier accepts a documented refusal on delivery.

Refunds start once the goods are back with us and we have checked the condition. On a parcel that is usually a few working days. Stove crates and fuel pallets can take a bit longer because of the weight and the packaging.

We credit the same card you paid with. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations we must do that within fourteen days of accepting the return, and we email you when the refund is sent. Your bank may take a few more days to show it on your statement.

Yes. If the page says in stock, that is our warehouse count at that moment, not a vague “usually available”.

If something sells out between your payment and our pick, we contact you within 24 working hours with a new date or a refund, or we swap for something equivalent. We never charge again without your say-so.

No. The price on the product page is incl. VAT.

We use two freight scales. Stoves, inserts and accessories: shipping £35.99 incl. VAT, free from £350 of appliances (fuels never count toward that threshold). Firewood, pellets and compressed logs: never free delivery; freight scale is £19.99 for one pallet, £32.99 for two, £44.99 for three, then £10.99 per extra pallet. The cart shows the exact amount before you pay. Orders ship from the UK.

No further amount is charged after payment confirmation. The freight line you see in the cart is the shipping charge.

Most lines are new, in the maker’s packaging when the factory sends one. Used or refurbished lines are rare and clearly labelled on the page.

Faulty goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. A maker warranty may also apply if the page lists it. Keep the invoice.

Perth Stove Centre Ltd (UK company, registered in Perth and Kinross; full details in the legal notice). We sell hearth appliances and fuel ourselves; this is not a marketplace listing.

Orders ship from the UK to the UK address on your checkout after card payment. There is no shop counter and the driver does not take cash. Contact: contact@thestovecentre.com.

On stoves, inserts, flue parts and accessories we often buy end-of-line or maker stock rotations. The goods stay new, in maker packaging when the factory supplies it.

Appliance shipping is £35.99 incl. VAT, or free once your cart reaches £350 of appliances only (firewood and pellets never count toward that threshold). The cart shows the exact shipping line before you confirm. No shop pickup and no payment to the driver.

A local wood yard or pellet drive often unloads with its own truck and sometimes takes payment on site, or offers a cheaper depot collection.

You order on the site, pay by card, and a carrier brings the pallet or parcel to your address. We are not a yard that unloads with its own truck. Large volumes arrive on a tail-lift, dropped as close as the vehicle can get. On fuels, shipping is never free (£19.99 / £32.99 / £44.99 by pallet count, then +£10.99); the amount shows in the cart before you confirm.

Only if the appliance is listed as suitable for smoke control / DEFRA-exempt use, or you burn an authorised fuel as the rules for your area require. That status, when the maker states it, sits on the product page or datasheet.

We sell the appliance; we do not certify your chimney or your local rules. If the page is unclear, email contact@thestovecentre.com with the product link before you buy, and confirm with your installer for Smoke Control Areas.

Delivery is arranged by the carrier, as close as vehicle access allows (entrance, firm driveway). The driver will not stack inside your woodshed; you do not pay cash on the kerb like a local round.

You need hard ground for a tail-lift or pallet truck. The carrier usually books a slot. Mention a narrow lane, steep slope or soft mud in the order notes so the carrier can plan access.

Email contact@thestovecentre.com. We handle messages Mon–Fri 10am–4pm and Sat 10am–3pm.

If you already ordered, put the order number in the subject. Before purchase, send the product link or reference. We usually reply within one working day.
