Terms and conditions of sale
These terms govern distance sales on The Stove Centre between Perth Stove Centre Ltd and the customer.
Article 1 – Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “T&Cs”) define the rights and obligations of the parties in the online sale of stoves, inserts, firewood, pellets, plates and accessories on the website thestovecentre.com by Perth Stove Centre Ltd (trading name The Stove Centre). This is a distance sale of goods. These T&Cs do not cover on-site installation or commissioning: any fitting or commissioning is by a third party or a separate contract, not concluded by simply ordering goods on the site. They prevail over any conflicting document, unless prior written agreement. Perth Stove Centre Ltd may amend the T&Cs; the applicable version is the one in force on the order validation date. Every order implies unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs by the customer (hereinafter “the Customer”).

Article 3 – Products and prices
Products (stoves, inserts, firewood, pellets, plates, accessories) are described as accurately as possible (features, photos, availability). Photographs have no contractual value in case of minor variance. All prices are in pounds sterling incl. VAT where VAT applies, excluding delivery costs unless stated otherwise on the product page. Perth Stove Centre Ltd may change prices at any time; the price charged is the one displayed when the order is validated. In case of an obvious price error, the Customer is informed before dispatch and may cancel free of charge.
Article 4 – Order
The Customer selects products, adds them to the cart and validates the order after accepting these T&Cs and reading the information on delivery and returns. The sale is concluded upon receipt of the order confirmation email summarising items, amount and delivery address. Perth Stove Centre Ltd may cancel or refuse an order in case of prior dispute, suspected fraud or insufficient stock, with refund where applicable.
Article 5 – Payment
Payment is due immediately on order. Accepted means are:
- Bank card via the secure payment solution shown at checkout (strong authentication / 3-D Secure when required)
Bank data are processed exclusively by the certified payment provider; Perth Stove Centre Ltd does not store full card numbers. The order is prepared and shipped only after effective collection. Any fraudulent transaction will lead to appropriate measures.
Article 6 – Delivery
Online delivery is offered across the United Kingdom. Orders ship from the UK. For any other destination, contact us by email before ordering. Stated lead times are indicative. For bulky, heavy or palletised parcels, a time slot, presence or access instructions (truck, parking) may be required. Base shipping is £35.99; delivery is free from £350 of purchases in the UK, unless stated otherwise. Details appear on the Delivery and pickup page.
Risk transfers on handover of the parcel to the Customer or under the chosen carrier’s conditions. The Customer must check the parcel condition on receipt and make useful reservations with the carrier where appropriate.
Article 7 – Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
Where you are a consumer buying at a distance, you have 14 days from receipt of the goods to withdraw, without giving reasons, subject to the exceptions in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (including bespoke or personalised goods, sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once unsealed, and goods that deteriorate rapidly).
To exercise this right, the Customer informs Perth Stove Centre Ltd at [email protected] before the deadline, then returns the goods according to the instructions given. Return shipping is at the Customer’s expense, unless the product is defective, non-conforming or there is a preparation/delivery error attributable to our services.
Article 8 – Complementary commercial returns
Beyond the legal withdrawal period, a commercial return may be accepted within 45 days of receipt, product complete and in good condition (original packaging if possible), under the procedure on Returns and refunds. Prior customer-service agreement is mandatory before any shipment.
Article 9 – Warranties and statutory rights
New goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund within a reasonable time. Where applicable, a manufacturer warranty may also apply under the conditions on the product page. After-sales steps go through [email protected]; keep your invoice as proof of purchase. See also Warranty and after-sales.
Article 10 – Liability
Perth Stove Centre Ltd cannot be held liable for unsuitability of the product for an unforeseen particular use, damage from incorrect installation, failure to follow the manual or heating-appliance safety rules, or service interruptions beyond its control. In any event, except for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, Perth Stove Centre Ltd’s liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned.
Article 11 – Intellectual property and trademarks
Brands cited on product pages are for information. The Stove Centre is an independent reseller, not affiliated with the manufacturers named. Logos and names belong to their respective owners. Site content (texts, photos, layout) is protected; unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.
Article 12 – Personal data
Personal-data processing is governed by the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy, pursuant to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Article 13 – Complaints
Contact customer service first at [email protected]. If you remain dissatisfied, you may seek guidance from Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards service. Any approved UK ADR provider we join will be listed on the Legal notice.
Article 14 – Governing law and disputes
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Scotland and applicable United Kingdom law. An amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, competent courts are those provided by law, without prejudice to protective consumer rules (in particular the court of the consumer’s place of residence where applicable).
