Frequently asked questions about this product
Compatibility, fitting rules, diameters, who we are, and pricing on flue parts.
Is this flue compatible with my setup?
Match diameter, steel grade, and system type (single wall, flexible liner, twin wall, concentric balanced flue) to the appliance manual and to the rest of the flue already on site. Mixing random brands without the maker's approval is a common way to fail a HETAS inspection.
Send us the stove model, outlet diameter, and photos of the existing run if you are unsure. We can confirm whether this SKU is the right piece before you order a full kit.
Do I need a professional to fit this?
Solid-fuel flue work is not a casual DIY job if you need Building Regulations sign-off or insurance peace of mind. A HETAS (or equivalent) installer can notify the work; self-builds usually need prior Building Control involvement.
We sell the components. Design, supports, fire-stopping, and certification stay with the fitter.
Who sells and ships this product?
The seller is Perth Stove Centre Ltd, a company registered in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. We trade as a specialist hearth and solid-fuel retailer: we hold stock, prepare orders, and ship the reference shown on this page. We are not a marketplace listing other people's inventory. Registered office, company number, and contractual terms are in our legal notice.
You buy on thestovecentre.com, pay by card before dispatch, and we deliver to the mainland UK address on your order confirmation. No walk-in counter, no depot collection, and no cash or card payment to the driver. Sizing, lead times, or access questions before checkout: [email protected].
Is the product new?
What you see here is normally current manufacturer stock, supplied new and in the maker's factory packaging when the factory still provides one. Ex-display, end-of-line, or refurbished lines are uncommon on this catalogue; when they do appear, the product page states that in plain words in the description.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if the goods arrive faulty or not as described. Keep the email confirmation and invoice. Where the manufacturer publishes a warranty for this reference, that warranty sits alongside for eligible parts under the maker's own registration rules and time limits.
How do you explain the displayed price?
Parts and accessories are priced as the specific reference on this page, often from maker stock rotations or end-of-line batches while remaining new.
Small parts usually ship with the same appliance freight rules when ordered with a stove. Alone, checkout shows the shipping line before payment. Fuels never pull the order into free appliance delivery.
316 or 304 stainless—does it matter?
For wood and multi-fuel liners, 316 (or 316L) is the usual domestic grade against corrosion from wood condensates. 304 appears more often on some twin-wall outer skins or pellet concentric systems where the maker specifies it.
Follow the appliance and flue-system datasheet, not a forum preference. If the product title states 316, that is the grade of the piece you are buying.
Can I mix this part with another brand already on the chimney?
Only when both makers allow it or when you are building a complete system from one range. Odd adapters and "it looked the same diameter" joints are a frequent failure point in surveys.
If you are mid-install, ask the installer which system they standardised on, then order that family's parts.
How do sweeping and inspection access work?
Flue design must leave a way to sweep. Tees with caps, access doors, and terminals that can be reached are not optional extras on a compliant install.
If you are replacing a section, keep the same access points your sweep already uses unless the installer redesigns the run.
