Justus Reno R 6 kW Wood Stove Independent of Ambient Air
Anyone looking for a stove with an attractive price-performance ratio has certainly heard of Justus, a subsidiary of the Oranier brand. This traditional company has specialized in producing a wide variety of stoves for 140 years. A reasonably priced stove for RLU operation is the Justus Reno R, which, despite its compact dimensions, shines with high heating efficiency.
The Justus Reno R stove thrives on its purist design. Standard, the stove is available in black steel, and additionally, a soapstone or sandstone cladding can be ordered. The visual highlight of the stove is its panoramic door with the extra-large viewing window, which occupies almost the entire front of the stove.
For Justus Reno R's operation independent of ambient air, the stove door is equipped with a hermetic sealing system. Particularly practical is the ventilated door handle, allowing the stove to be opened and closed at any time without the usual glove. A more decorative function is provided by the stainless steel stove under the combustion chamber, which visually enhances the stove's overall discreet impression.
The Justus Reno R is ready with a few technical refinements: in particular, the existing connection port for external combustion air supply should be noted. In combination with the triple air system developed by the parent company Oranier, particularly efficient air-room operation of this stove is guaranteed.
The external air connection nozzle is optional.
Composition of the profiled firebox
The lining of the firebox is made of high-strength profiled molded Vermiculite components and a convincing user interface. It also promotes the desired turbulence of the combustion gases for clean combustion.
24-hour continuous operation
A particular feature of quality and environmental friendliness. The fireplace can operate indefinitely. Use only authorized fuels!
Multiple locking
The multipoint locking prevents the fire door from deforming due to high temperatures. This also ensures good sealing, particularly for unwanted air inlets. This system helps maintain quality and combustion stability in the fireplace.
Connection for external air supply
In modern buildings, denser with controlled mechanical ventilation systems, the combustion air must be supplied from the outside, so that no negative pressure can interfere with the fireplace. This requires an external and separate air supply through a connection nozzle for an intake of outside air.
Cleaning the glass
A guided air stream prevents condensation and the deposition of combustion gases on the interior side of the glass. Thus, the glass remains clean.
Triple-air System
The special JUSTUS triple air system always ensures combustion air is optimally dosed where it is needed for the combustion process. The desired result is particularly clean and efficient combustion.
The Justus Reno R stove has a nominal thermal output of 6 kW, which corresponds to a heating capacity of 124 m³. With innovative and very sophisticated solutions (for example, the Justus secure fastening system for combustion operation without additional safety equipment), the stove has proven to be highly efficient in heating. This is not least due to its high efficiency of nearly 80%. It is therefore not surprising that the Justus Reno R is also designed to operate continuously 24/7.
The large panoramic door is made of heat-resistant ceramic glass, which ensures maximum safety even at very high temperatures. Nevertheless, factors such as the volume of wood, the moisture content of the wood, chimney pressure, construction, and operation affect the cleanliness of the lens. Most Justus stoves are therefore equipped with a very effective wash disk in which a targeted guided airflow prevents condensation and the deposition of dust and carbon particles on the inner surface of the disk. This way, the view of the comfortable flame pattern remains clear and the enjoyment of heating remains uninterrupted.
Advantages in brief:
• air-independent stove
• timeless design

Frequently asked questions about this product
Installation, Smoke Control rules, delivery, and the price on this page—plain answers before the reviews.
Do you install this stove?
We do not install stoves or flue systems ourselves. Perth Stove Centre Ltd supplies the appliance and arranges carriage to your address. A qualified installer registered with HETAS (or an equivalent competent-person scheme) must fit the stove, connect the flue, and certify the work against Building Regulations Part J where that applies in your area.
We can confirm external dimensions, shipping weight, and the nominal heat output from the manufacturer datasheet so your fitter can check room size and liner diameter before you commit. Smoke Control Area authorisation, planning constraints, and grants that need an installer's invoice sit outside this online sale. Most buyers order the stove here and book the fitter once a delivery week is known.
How does stove delivery work at home?
Orders on this site leave our UK warehouse for the delivery address you enter at checkout. Deliveries outside the United Kingdom need an email agreement before payment, because carrier rules differ. Palletised stoves and inserts are handed over at kerbside or the nearest firm ground the HGV can reach. The driver does not carry units upstairs, through narrow hallways, or across soft ground without prior arrangement.
Before you pay, compare the pallet weight and crate size on this page with your doorway, path, and any steps. If access is tight, tell us when you order. When the goods arrive, inspect the packaging while the driver is still there. If the crate is crushed, torn, or clearly mishandled, write dated reservations on the delivery note (not a vague "subject to unpacking" line), take photographs, and email [email protected] within 48 hours with your order number so we can open a carrier claim.
Who sells and ships this product?
The seller is Perth Stove Centre Ltd, a company registered in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. We trade as a specialist hearth and solid-fuel retailer: we hold stock, prepare orders, and ship the reference shown on this page. We are not a marketplace listing other people's inventory. Registered office, company number, and contractual terms are in our legal notice.
You buy on thestovecentre.com, pay by card before dispatch, and we deliver to the mainland UK address on your order confirmation. No walk-in counter, no depot collection, and no cash or card payment to the driver. Sizing, lead times, or access questions before checkout: [email protected].
Is the product new?
What you see here is normally current manufacturer stock, supplied new and in the maker's factory packaging when the factory still provides one. Ex-display, end-of-line, or refurbished lines are uncommon on this catalogue; when they do appear, the product page states that in plain words in the description.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if the goods arrive faulty or not as described. Keep the email confirmation and invoice. Where the manufacturer publishes a warranty for this reference, that warranty sits alongside for eligible parts under the maker's own registration rules and time limits.
How do you explain the displayed price?
The catalogue mixes stoves, inserts, flue parts, and accessories from manufacturer end-of-line batches and scheduled stock rotations. The goods stay new; when the factory ships retail packaging, that is what arrives on the pallet.
Carriage for qualifying appliances is £35.99 including VAT, or free when the appliance subtotal in your basket reaches £350. Kiln-dried firewood, pellets, and other fuel lines never count toward that threshold. Checkout shows the exact shipping line before you pay. No shop pickup, and nothing is settled with the carrier at the door.
Can I burn wood if I live in a Smoke Control Area?
That depends on your local authority and on whether this exact model is listed as a Defra exempt appliance for wood. Smoke Control Areas are set by the council, not by us; check with them (or their map) before you buy if you are unsure.
Exempt appliances still need dry Ready to Burn wood and correct use. An open fire is not a Defra-exempt route for wood. If the product title or datasheet does not state Smoke Control / Defra exemption, ask us with the model reference before you pay rather than guessing from a similar stove.
Will an Ecodesign stove be hard to light or smoke into the room?
Modern Ecodesign stoves run cleaner air paths than older free-burning models. Forum complaints about smoke into the room usually track back to wet wood, a cold or undersized flue, or lighting with the air controls shut too early, not to the label alone.
Use kiln-dried Ready to Burn logs, get a HETAS fitter to size the liner and terminal, and follow the maker's lighting sequence. If your chimney has always been weak, tell the installer before the stove is ordered; a new firebox will not fix a flue that will not draw.
How do I choose the right kW for my room?
Nominal output on the page is a test figure, not a promise for every house. Insulation, ceiling height, open-plan layout, and whether the stove is the only heat source all matter more than picking the biggest number on the filter.
A HETAS installer (or a heat-loss calculation) is the safe route. Oversizing leads to slumbering and dirty glass; undersizing means the stove runs flat-out and still leaves cold corners. We can confirm the datasheet output and external size so your fitter can check the room before you commit.
