Ready to Burn — suitable for UK domestic heating when stored dry.

You receive a 2-in-1 pallet: 1 stere of thin pizza cooking logs + 1 stere of heating logs, steamed beech 50 cm (2 steres in total).

Characteristics

Wood cut to size!

We offer different lengths of logs in various packaging and with different drying levels.

These characteristics may vary depending on the season, but you can see them all here:

And also, our champion:
Compressed wood

In our opinion, the best wood fuel still remains compressed wood logs... A dry, clean, compact wood that heats strongly. You really have to try this...

A 2-in-1 pallet, cooking and heating wood dedicated to professionals

On one side, we offered pallets of logs in different cutting lengths, and on the other, pallets with logs of smaller sections. Then we came up with the idea of offering just one and the same pallet. The advantages are:

  • Less cash tied up in your wood
  • Less storage space required
  • A clear view of which pile of wood burns fastest between the two.

One side with small-section logs special for pizza

On one side of the pallet, you will find 1 cubic meter of steamed small-section wood in lengths of 50 cm. Extra dry and very reactive, this wood will allow you to quickly raise the temperature of a fire when you need to start cooking and will help meet the most urgent requests.

One side with classic logs to last

The other side of the pallet is made up of classic 50 cm logs for heating, which are steamed. These logs, with larger sections, will keep the fire lasting longer and maintain the fireplace temperature during quieter periods.

Ready-to-use logs with guaranteed moisture content

The wood stacked on this pallet is steamed, its moisture is perfectly controlled, and the rate is below 20%. This wood is extra dry and ready to use. The drier the wood, the more energy it provides and the higher its calorific value.

We can guarantee the moisture content because it is a machine called a kiln that dries the wood until the desired quality is achieved.

Only hardwood species

Our pallets are made of hardwood only. The details are in the technical specifications section of this page. (hardwoods such as beech, oak, ash, hornbeam).

Wood split into regular sections

Whether on one side of the pallet or the other, you will receive calibrated logs fulfilling their respective functions: heating quickly for the thin sections and lasting a long time for the large logs.

Wood from sustainably managed forests

We deliver firewood that comes from forestry operations practicing sustainable resource management.

Firewood delivered in box-pallet

No more uncertainty about the volume of wood delivered in bulk: with the pallet, you know in advance the quantity of wood you are receiving.

The delivery is clean: no need to clean the log unloading area.

  • Transit: about 7 to 9 working days after the carrier collects, depending on region and stock. Weekends and bank holidays do not count.
  • Shipping costs: appliances £35.99 incl. VAT, or free from £350 of appliances. Firewood and pellets use pallet rates and are never free. Delivery policy.
  • Tracking: emailed when the carrier takes the goods.

Returns and refunds

  • Cooling-off: 14 days under UK distance-selling rules. We also take unused, resaleable returns up to 45 days. Details on the Returns page.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Moisture, pallet drop-off, storage, who we are, and what the price covers.

Is this Ready to Burn / dry enough?

Packaged firewood sold in small volumes in England must meet the Ready to Burn rules (under 20% moisture) when that scheme applies. Pellet lines on this site are sold to the grade shown on the page (commonly ENplus A1).

Wet fuel wastes heat, dirties glass, and in pellet appliances can swell and jam the auger. If a bag arrives torn and rain-soaked, refuse the wet stock with the driver or photograph it and email us within 48 hours with the order number.

Is delivery on a pallet, and can the lorry reach me?

Fuel usually arrives on a pallet to kerbside or the nearest firm ground the truck can reach. Drivers will not carry 15 kg bags up stairs or across a muddy lawn as a standard service.

If you live on a narrow lane, have a soft verge, or need a smaller vehicle, email us before you pay. Access failures and wet torn bags are the complaints we see most on fuel forums; flagging access early avoids a wasted journey.

Who sells and ships this product?

The seller is Perth Stove Centre Ltd, a company registered in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. We trade as a specialist hearth and solid-fuel retailer: we hold stock, prepare orders, and ship the reference shown on this page. We are not a marketplace listing other people's inventory. Registered office, company number, and contractual terms are in our legal notice.

You buy on thestovecentre.com, pay by card before dispatch, and we deliver to the mainland UK address on your order confirmation. No walk-in counter, no depot collection, and no cash or card payment to the driver. Sizing, lead times, or access questions before checkout: [email protected].

Is the product new?

What you see here is normally current manufacturer stock, supplied new and in the maker's factory packaging when the factory still provides one. Ex-display, end-of-line, or refurbished lines are uncommon on this catalogue; when they do appear, the product page states that in plain words in the description.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if the goods arrive faulty or not as described. Keep the email confirmation and invoice. Where the manufacturer publishes a warranty for this reference, that warranty sits alongside for eligible parts under the maker's own registration rules and time limits.

How do you explain the displayed price?

Fuel prices follow the grade, bag count, and pallet make-up shown on this page. Firewood, pellets, and compressed logs never count toward the £350 free appliance delivery threshold, and fuel freight is never free whatever else is in the cart.

The cart shows the fuel shipping line before you confirm. We do not take cash from the driver, and we do not offer depot collection on this site.

How should I store pellets or logs once they arrive?

Keep bags sealed, indoors or under a proper cover, off damp concrete. A leaky shed or open porch is enough humidity to ruin a winter's pellets.

Logs need airflow if you buy larger volumes; Ready to Burn sealed nets are meant to stay closed until use. Do not stack fuel against the stove body.

Do I pay the driver for the wood or pellets?

No. The order is paid online before dispatch. The driver is not owed cash or a card payment for fuel or freight.

If someone at the door asks for money beyond a documented surcharge you already agreed with us in writing, refuse and contact us with the order number.

What if bags are torn or the pallet is wet?

Stay with the delivery, note dated reservations on the consignment note, photograph the damage, and email [email protected] within 48 hours. That is how carrier claims for fuel actually move.

Accepting a soaked pallet without notes makes replacement harder. Dry bags that are only scuffed on the outer wrap are usually fine; refuse fuel that has been sitting in water.
