Ready to Burn — suitable for UK domestic heating when stored dry.

You receive 1.50 stere of seasoned firewood, 50 cm (oak, hornbeam, beech).

Features

A whole range of firewood cut to size!

We offer different log lengths in different packaging and with different levels of drying.

These characteristics may vary depending on the season, but you can see them all here:

But also, our champion:
The compressed log

In our opinion, the best wood fuel remains compressed wood logs... Dry, clean, compact wood that burns strongly. You really need to try this...

Pallet of dry wood 1.5 stere, long 50 cm logs

Enjoy firewood with ideal moisture, easy to light and maintain, perfect for all fireplaces and wood stoves, with optimal energy efficiency.

  • Logs dried in a kiln: 17-20% moisture
  • 1.5 stacked cubic meters neatly on a pallet
  • Logs cut to 50cm
  • Premium wood types: beech, hornbeam, oak, ash
  • Manufactured and packaged in the UK
  • No residues, no pests
  • Enjoy wood that can be handled without dust

Logs dried in a wood kiln

Our logs go through an advanced industrial process, combining heating and moisture extraction cycles that make the wood particularly dry and efficient.

These optimal conditions guarantee a humidity level of less than 20%, resulting in quick ignition, very little residue, and clean burning.

This wood releases 30% more heat compared to semi-dry wood. As a result, this pallet is equivalent to more than 1.95 cubic meters of semi-dry wood.

Hardwood, the solution for a long-lasting fire

Thanks to a mix of species such as hornbeam, beech, and oak, our logs with a section of 8 to 18 cm offer a premium product quality.

The cutting and partial debarking process, in turn, ensures clean and comfortable handling.

Delivery anywhere in the UK

Choose convenience with our firewood pallets delivered directly to your home.

Each pallet is stable and wrapped to ensure cleanliness, safety, and stock management without surprises.

No more surprises, you can even check with the delivery person the actual volume received.

50cm: large logs

The 50cm logs are intended for those who have large fireplaces, large inserts, or high-powered wood stoves.

The 50cm logs will fill your hearth well and produce an intense fire. By using large logs, you reduce the need for handling, but you should know that the logs are also heavier.

Order preparation and tracking at The Stove Centre

Delivery and tracking

Orders leave our Perth warehouse for the UK address on your order. Heavy appliances and fuel go on a pallet and stop at kerbside (or the closest firm ground the lorry can reach).

  • Preparation: usually within 24 to 48 working hours after payment.
  • Transit: about 7 to 9 working days after the carrier collects, depending on region and stock. Weekends and bank holidays do not count.
  • Shipping costs: appliances £35.99 incl. VAT, or free from £350 of appliances. Firewood and pellets use pallet rates and are never free. Delivery policy.
  • Tracking: emailed when the carrier takes the goods.

Returns and refunds

  • Cooling-off: 14 days under UK distance-selling rules. We also take unused, resaleable returns up to 45 days. Details on the Returns page.
  • Refund: started after we receive and check the return.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Moisture, pallet drop-off, storage, who we are, and what the price covers.

Is this Ready to Burn / dry enough?

Packaged firewood sold in small volumes in England must meet the Ready to Burn rules (under 20% moisture) when that scheme applies. Pellet lines on this site are sold to the grade shown on the page (commonly ENplus A1).

Wet fuel wastes heat, dirties glass, and in pellet appliances can swell and jam the auger. If a bag arrives torn and rain-soaked, refuse the wet stock with the driver or photograph it and email us within 48 hours with the order number.

Is delivery on a pallet, and can the lorry reach me?

Fuel usually arrives on a pallet to kerbside or the nearest firm ground the truck can reach. Drivers will not carry 15 kg bags up stairs or across a muddy lawn as a standard service.

If you live on a narrow lane, have a soft verge, or need a smaller vehicle, email us before you pay. Access failures and wet torn bags are the complaints we see most on fuel forums; flagging access early avoids a wasted journey.

Who sells and ships this product?

The seller is Perth Stove Centre Ltd, a company registered in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. We trade as a specialist hearth and solid-fuel retailer: we hold stock, prepare orders, and ship the reference shown on this page. We are not a marketplace listing other people's inventory. Registered office, company number, and contractual terms are in our legal notice.

You buy on thestovecentre.com, pay by card before dispatch, and we deliver to the mainland UK address on your order confirmation. No walk-in counter, no depot collection, and no cash or card payment to the driver. Sizing, lead times, or access questions before checkout: [email protected].

Is the product new?

What you see here is normally current manufacturer stock, supplied new and in the maker's factory packaging when the factory still provides one. Ex-display, end-of-line, or refurbished lines are uncommon on this catalogue; when they do appear, the product page states that in plain words in the description.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if the goods arrive faulty or not as described. Keep the email confirmation and invoice. Where the manufacturer publishes a warranty for this reference, that warranty sits alongside for eligible parts under the maker's own registration rules and time limits.

How do you explain the displayed price?

Fuel prices follow the grade, bag count, and pallet make-up shown on this page. Firewood, pellets, and compressed logs never count toward the £350 free appliance delivery threshold, and fuel freight is never free whatever else is in the cart.

The cart shows the fuel shipping line before you confirm. We do not take cash from the driver, and we do not offer depot collection on this site.

How should I store pellets or logs once they arrive?

Keep bags sealed, indoors or under a proper cover, off damp concrete. A leaky shed or open porch is enough humidity to ruin a winter's pellets.

Logs need airflow if you buy larger volumes; Ready to Burn sealed nets are meant to stay closed until use. Do not stack fuel against the stove body.

Do I pay the driver for the wood or pellets?

No. The order is paid online before dispatch. The driver is not owed cash or a card payment for fuel or freight.

If someone at the door asks for money beyond a documented surcharge you already agreed with us in writing, refuse and contact us with the order number.

What if bags are torn or the pallet is wet?

Stay with the delivery, note dated reservations on the consignment note, photograph the damage, and email [email protected] within 48 hours. That is how carrier claims for fuel actually move.

Accepting a soaked pallet without notes makes replacement harder. Dry bags that are only scuffed on the outer wrap are usually fine; refuse fuel that has been sitting in water.

Compressed logs burn evenly. Full pallet, not half.

  2. Hannah J. –

Pallet left outside under wrap, then stored dry. First bags were not wet.

  3. Emma W. –

Carrier booked a slot; dropped at the side gate as noted at checkout.
