Premium wood pallet dried through and through

Our wood logs have been carefully steamed in dedicated industrial ovens, through a controlled process that ensures minimal moisture content.

This steam injection method gradually heats the wood to open its inner fibers and release the residual water deep inside. Result: wood that is dry at its core, nearly 30% more efficient than standard semi-dry wood.

This means that each pallet is equivalent to 3.38 cubic meters of ordinary semi-dry wood in terms of heating power and calorific efficiency.

Hard woods for a successful fire

Choosing hard wood species such as oak, beech, or hornbeam guarantees a steady burn and particularly long-lasting embers.

The logs are carefully cut into different sizes, with sections ranging from 6 to 14 cm, to facilitate quick ignition and then maintain a beautiful fire throughout the evening. Thanks to meticulous drying and partial debarking, they limit dust production while being very pleasant to handle.

Firewood delivered on pallets, anywhere in the UK

Simply receive your firewood at home thanks to our pallet delivery method.

The logs are carefully packaged in a plastic-wrapped bundle that protects the logs during transport and even for storage at your home.

Moreover, the delivered quantity can be immediately checked, allowing you to manage your firewood stock in the best way.

25cm logs are perfectly suitable for compact fireplaces

For inserts and stoves of small dimensions, the 25cm log is really ideal. It fits perfectly into the available space, which makes lighting and handling the pieces easier.

It is still recommended to allow a margin of 5cm or more on the length of the log compared to the size of your fireplace to avoid cutting upon receipt of the wood.

Usage tips:

How to clean a very dirty fireplace glass?

When a fireplace glass is really very dirty, it will probably be necessary to use a chemical glass cleaner.

In any case, the glass should be seen as warm. You can start by rubbing the glass with damp newspaper coated with ash and remove as much material as possible with this ecological solution. Use the glass spray only on the areas that are too stubborn.

How to light a wood stove?

Lighting a fire in a wood stove requires well-dried wood, so with steamed wood like this, it will be a piece of cake. We suggest a

Frequently Asked Questions:

How to dry wood quickly?

If you have bought green, half-dry, or traditionally dried wood, here is how to dry your wood quickly:

  • What dries wood in nature is ventilation, the wind. Good ventilation is therefore essential. You should expose the end of the logs to constant airflow. Especially avoid closed shelters for logs that are not steamed.
  • Next, you need to protect against water from above (solid roof) and below (raised from the ground to prevent moisture)
  • Finally, exposure to the sun provides a gain in drying time, while exposure to the north should be avoided due to the permanent humidity present there.
Where to find dry firewood?

Dry firewood can be found at a small local dealer, but this is becoming less and less common because producing dry wood requires a lot of storage and must be left to dry for 1.5 to 2 years. It's tied-up money. Semi-dry wood is easier to find. Moreover, the number of small local loggers is decreasing because it is hard work that struggles to find successors. These two reasons make it difficult to find ultra-local well-dried wood if you do not already have your supplier.

To ensure you have well-dried wood, it is preferable to contact a professional wood distributor like The Stove Centre. There is a wide range available in quantity, all lengths, and different drying levels.

Is the wood pallet refundable?

Upon delivery, the pallet supporting the bundle of wood is not refundable. It can therefore be kept and will not be taken back by the delivery person.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Moisture, pallet drop-off, storage, who we are, and what the price covers.

Is this Ready to Burn / dry enough?

Packaged firewood sold in small volumes in England must meet the Ready to Burn rules (under 20% moisture) when that scheme applies. Pellet lines on this site are sold to the grade shown on the page (commonly ENplus A1).

Wet fuel wastes heat, dirties glass, and in pellet appliances can swell and jam the auger. If a bag arrives torn and rain-soaked, refuse the wet stock with the driver or photograph it and email us within 48 hours with the order number.

Is delivery on a pallet, and can the lorry reach me?

Fuel usually arrives on a pallet to kerbside or the nearest firm ground the truck can reach. Drivers will not carry 15 kg bags up stairs or across a muddy lawn as a standard service.

If you live on a narrow lane, have a soft verge, or need a smaller vehicle, email us before you pay. Access failures and wet torn bags are the complaints we see most on fuel forums; flagging access early avoids a wasted journey.

Who sells and ships this product?

The seller is Perth Stove Centre Ltd, a company registered in Perth, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. We trade as a specialist hearth and solid-fuel retailer: we hold stock, prepare orders, and ship the reference shown on this page. We are not a marketplace listing other people's inventory. Registered office, company number, and contractual terms are in our legal notice.

You buy on thestovecentre.com, pay by card before dispatch, and we deliver to the mainland UK address on your order confirmation. No walk-in counter, no depot collection, and no cash or card payment to the driver. Sizing, lead times, or access questions before checkout: [email protected].

Is the product new?

What you see here is normally current manufacturer stock, supplied new and in the maker's factory packaging when the factory still provides one. Ex-display, end-of-line, or refurbished lines are uncommon on this catalogue; when they do appear, the product page states that in plain words in the description.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply if the goods arrive faulty or not as described. Keep the email confirmation and invoice. Where the manufacturer publishes a warranty for this reference, that warranty sits alongside for eligible parts under the maker's own registration rules and time limits.

How do you explain the displayed price?

Fuel prices follow the grade, bag count, and pallet make-up shown on this page. Firewood, pellets, and compressed logs never count toward the £350 free appliance delivery threshold, and fuel freight is never free whatever else is in the cart.

The cart shows the fuel shipping line before you confirm. We do not take cash from the driver, and we do not offer depot collection on this site.

How should I store pellets or logs once they arrive?

Keep bags sealed, indoors or under a proper cover, off damp concrete. A leaky shed or open porch is enough humidity to ruin a winter's pellets.

Logs need airflow if you buy larger volumes; Ready to Burn sealed nets are meant to stay closed until use. Do not stack fuel against the stove body.

Do I pay the driver for the wood or pellets?

No. The order is paid online before dispatch. The driver is not owed cash or a card payment for fuel or freight.

If someone at the door asks for money beyond a documented surcharge you already agreed with us in writing, refuse and contact us with the order number.

What if bags are torn or the pallet is wet?

Stay with the delivery, note dated reservations on the consignment note, photograph the damage, and email [email protected] within 48 hours. That is how carrier claims for fuel actually move.

Accepting a soaked pallet without notes makes replacement harder. Dry bags that are only scuffed on the outer wrap are usually fine; refuse fuel that has been sitting in water.
